Hidden in a small urban natural area with a great view.

You'll be visiting the Leschi Natural Area. It's a small urban park with sweeping views of Lake Washington, Mt. Rainier and the floating bridges. The natural area started as one parcel bought by the parks dept. in 1995. It was recently expanded with the purchase of another parcel that has a rich history. A good looking large house, that was recently torn down, was on this plot. The home had been a speakeasy during the 20s and an Italian Consulate in the 30s. More information at: (visit link)

This area is being restored and maintained by volunteers. There are many new native plants being put in. The cache is right next to one of the trails. Please do not trample on sensitive planting areas.

1.5 terrain difficulty because you'll need to navigate some stairs in order to get to the cache.

We hope you enjoy this cache.
