ynots4: Checked on this cache this a.m. and there is no trace of it, trash is buried and scattered nearby, there was a man in sleeping bag along the trail and a terrible stench in the air. Gee, I hope no one is dead in those woods! [:o] Lovely though this park is, unless it becomes less of a homeless hangout I won't be placing more caches here. I hope the cache was enjoyed while it lasted. - Chickasaw

Geocache Description:

These trails need a cache or two and this spot is what I imagine was once someone's secret hideout. It was free of trash today. I hope it stays that way!

In Harvey West from Evergreen Street. Take the trailhead near the entrance, going into Wagner's Grove. Be sure to check out the historical marker along the way. Coordinates were taken from the trail with a 3 satellite lock. Find the alcove on your right, just off the main trail. Rehide as well or better than found. This place gets lots of visitors at times. The park gate is open 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. If you have the time bring a bag and do some CITO and/or check out the rest of the trails. I think these trails from Wagner Grove hook up with the Pogonip. Dogs are welcome if on a leash.
