Geocache Description:

What is the difference between a beaver and a Mtn Biker? A Mtn Biker works harder. This cache is dedicated to the trails that we cachers follow.

This is our third cache in this series of mountain bike trails. The terrain is consistent throughout the entire cache if you use the the trail head at N 44 37.963 W063 38.261. The hike is a beautiful walk through mixed hardwood typical of the area. You will have to make good use of mapping and breadcrumb on your GPS to keep the different trails distinguished. No bushwhacking is required except the last few meters and all water/mud features are easily negotiated. There are other entry points, however, there is substantial Juan damage and swamps in some areas.

The cache is hidden near a cove. The cammo is designed to allow easy access to the cache. There is no ripping or tearing from the correct approach. Just past it there is a point of flat rocks sloping into the lake; perfect for swimming of just for reflecting. The round trip is approximately 3 km, however, Fragile by Nature, is along the same route to entice you along.

WARNING: The rocks and roots , moss and lichens, can pose a slippery walking surface. Also, the bikers’ boardwalk is treacherous when frosty. Use common sense, sensible footing and have fun.

This cache is winter friendly and deep snow friendly if you are equipped.
