I was out this way in October and it is considerably more difficult
to get through the wall of brush so I have raised the terrain level
half a star.
One Saturday in late November, six good caching buddies went out
to grab some caches around Blackhawk Mine. It had been raining
steadily all week, so I was planning on doing some splashing
through the mud and the potholes. As we gained elevation on the
unpaved roads, the rain turned to snow and made our outing quite an
adventure.
We were headed down a hill and around a slight bend, so I
decided it might be prudent to slow down a little. At least, that
is the official story. In so doing, the back end of the Land Rover
decided it wanted to be in the front. I over-corrected a little and
started heading for the drop-off on Prying Pandora’s side of the
road.
The next word that I heard caught me completely off-guard. It
was only one word, but it was so uncharacteristic of her, we all
decided that it was a momentous occasion and that we should honor
her outburst. From this point forward, we dubbed the area Potty
Mouth Hill. I chose an extra-large cache container to hold her
future obscenities. Rest assured the cache is family friendly – no
obscenities are evident in the container or can escape from it.
Next time you see Prying Pandora feel free to ask her what she
said, she probably won’t tell you but you’ll have a lot of fun
watching her face turn six different shades of red.
Reception was not very good so I averaged 4 different readings
with 250+ points on each reading.
