This cache has been archived.

Growly Bear: As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm temporarily archiving this to keep it from continually showing up in search lists. Just contact us when you have the cache repaired, and assuming it still meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

Geocache Description:

Short (2-minute?), easy graded walk through leaf-litter from a busy road, in the Wakari area of Dunedin. However, the 'bike-stopper' at the entry is a bit of a squeeze for those of us going through middle-age spread.

The theme of this cache is foreign exchange … in small denominations! A deposit is not necessary (just add 0 to the deposit book), but adds to the interest of cachers who, as time goes by, will hopefully be able to view a range of currency from around the world … barring muggle invasions, hence the suggestion for low denominations only. (It is suggested that swaps are only made where there are duplicate notes/coins available in the cache). There are 5 snaplock ‘deposit bags’ marked by region: Pacific, Asia, Europe, Africa and Americas. When placed, there were 2 banknotes in the Pacific bag (2 Kina note from PNG, $2 from Fiji), 1 in Asia (1000 Rupiah from Indonesia) and 1 in the Americas (US$1).

The coordinates may be a bit dodgy due to erratic reception at the site … after an hour and 30 marks, I still had a standard deviation of 0.006 on the latitude and 0.012 on the longitude. However, if you stick to the track and look for nice caching possies, you shouldn’t go too far wrong.

You’re looking for a 1l black-painted snaplock container.
