This cache has been archived.

status quo: As this cache has been out of action for too long and the cache owner has not performed any maintenance, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

Geocache Description:

A lovely spot on the St James Walkway - half an hour in from the Western end (but only about 15 minutes if you jog in with no pack on your back!).

The cache container is a Berocca type canister hidden at the Cannibal River suspension bridge. It was hidden during a quick overnight circuit of the St James Walkway (70km). However, you don't have to do the whole walk (although it is well worth it, especially if you go slower and take three or four days)- just go in from the western end. There is another cache hidden half an hour from the other end in a very similar place. The coverage is not good in the bush but the coordinates will take you to the gorge where the suspension bridge is - you can't miss it! The cache has gone missing from its original position twice so it has now been replaced in a more direct position.

The cache is hidden under the end of the bridge - West Coast end.

When hidden the cache contained log, pencil and some very small items.
