A fine cache location with excellent views to the west. Cleared trails, however, terrain is a bit steep in spots.
This property belongs to the New England Forestry Foundation. In 1989, 310 acres were deeded in trust to the Foundation for public use in perpetuity (forever).
The East side of this property offers magnificent views to the west via logging roads up to New Ipswich Mountain.
Recommended parking for this cache is at:
42 45.037, 071 55.448 This is a spot once used as a log landing and it belongs to the NEFF, so you shouldn’t bother anyone by parking here.
The cache is stored inside a large ammo box (I carried this up on my back) and is located were these views are most magnificent.
There is a large logbook inside to log your visit or you can take some time to write more if you so desire.
