Geocache Description:

Located just off of Rincon Spur Trail west of Piedra Lisa @ 8,185'.

Yertle and Myrtle are two turtles that spend the winter hibernating and the summer eating. So we suggest that you take a snack to the cache site and then take a nap before you head back down the hill. This cache site is located just off of Rincon Spur Trail. When you get to the sign post at the top, go west on Rincon Spur. Travel about 335' to a spot where there are dead trees and and head south towards an old camfire ring. If you get to a dead tree across the trail you've missed this turn. From this spot, go south 70' to a dead tree stump. Then 50' east to a spot where you are standing between 4 yucca plants and the roundish rock with a view of crest towers. The cache is located in a little slot beneath a roundish rock. It has several rocks in front of it to form a little wall and hold it in its slot. This cache is in a small round Nalgene container. It is pretty well packed. Original Contents Include: -A camera to take your photo with. -A turtle bottle opener in case you brought along a refreshment for your hike. -FTF gift card -Two tent ornaments -A carabiner -log, pencils, pencil sharpner
