Warning

Please note: To use the services of geocaching.com, you must agree to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer.

Between West Hawk Lake and Star Lake on the Trans Canada Trail at a scenic spot. Prov. park pass needed. Terrain may be difficult for the last several feet but relatively short walk on trail depending on parking.
Gnarly's original home has been kept well-hidden and caused some consternation among local cachers in the Red River Valley. Now Gnarly has purchased a holiday home overlooking the lake. Gnarly has set up booby-traps in order to try to cause you to slip in your attempt to find his vacation destination. The little home, an ammo can, includes a logbook, pencil, tradeables such as a Calgary Geocoin, a pencil case, watercolours, a deck of cards, a cap gun (used but cool), several 1Q4J handmade geocoins and a few other items...It is across from a muggles cabin so use discretion at the final destination. No FTF prize or gift just the honour! Get it quick while there are tracks -Will be MUCH more difficult with heavy snowfall...

You can tell this can has been around. Like the bit of rushing water and the calming sound. Nice job on the placement

Found the gnarly one after a couple of minutes of wandering and pondering. This time of year there aren't many people about, so muggle concerns were pretty minimal. TNLNSL Thanks for the cache!

We've benn rerouted do to snow fall and trucks in the ditch but we made it. Had to skip a few caches on the way but the day is turning out just fine. Saw two deer as we arrived at the cache, beautiful spot in the fall with snow falling. TFTC.
