Geocache Description:

An easy micro marking a parking lot for the Coyote Creek Trail

This is a "parkhere" cache, whose primary purpose is to show you where to park to access the Coyote Creek Trail. This is a mid-trail staging area. It's right off Monterey Highway a little south of the Bernal Rd/Silicon Valley Blvd. overcrossing. Going north on 101, get off at Bailey Ave. and go north on Monterey Highway to reach it. Going south on 101, get off at Bernal Road, turn left on Monterey Highway and make a U-turn at Metcalf Road to reach it. This spot puts you at the south end of Metcalf Park, a little north of the Coyote Creek Trail bridge. There are several caches within easy biking and even walking distance. While there are no facilities at this parking lot, if you go north into Metcalf Park, you'll find restrooms, water, picnic tables, ball courts, playing fields, and a playground.

This is a sign-only cache. Bring your own pen.

If you go to parkhere.org, you can find out more about the Coyote Creek Trail and other County Parks.

Update 5/6/12: the cache was missing. It was replaced in the same place with the same type of cache. Make sure it's secure after replacing it.

Update 5/1/15: curses, muggled again! I replaced it in the same spot.

Update 6/09/19: gone again, but it lasted for 4 years. I replaced it in the same spot.
