Bear Island Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

Isonzo Karst: Checked this today, no cache present. Rather than continue to pull permits for a cache that sees so little action, I'm archiving the listing. Sure is a pretty piece of Florida

Geocache Description:

An ammo can about .3 miles from trailhead in the Jumper Creek section of the Withlacoochee State Forest. Trails can be muddy, though most of this walk is on an elevated causeway. Cache just a few steps off the trail.

If you continue southwest from the cache you'll come to a side slough of Jumper Creek. Real pretty walk, lots of wet places on the trail, but folks have made user trail around the water. There's so little reliable dry ground in this area that dry places are referred to as Islands. This is Bear Island.
