First, you must find the location where this album cover
photograph was taken. If you are already familiar with the
Wachusett Reservoir, this task may be easy. However, the difficulty
and terrain ratings assume you will be doing some amount of trial
and error, circling the Reservoir until you find the correct
vantage point. Some areas around the Reservoir are off limits,
so please obey all posted signs! Park where it is safe to do so,
and don't block any gates.
Now take the coordinate of your vantage point, and offset it by
+.166N, -.631W. This is the location of the physical cache. The
more accurate your vantage point coordinate, the smaller your
search radius will be. It is certainly possible to determine the
exact location based on the photograph. The regular size ammo can
is about 100' off trail, though the area is not terribly dense in
all places.
The cache is a CD trader, so please don't leave other trade
items. Travel bugs are welcome, though! Feel free to take a CD even
if you don't leave one, as long as there are at least 3 or 4 left
in there. Similiarly, you can leave one without taking one, as long
as there is enough room! Only legal copies of CDs may be placed in
the cache. See if you can guess what the cache is originally
stocked with.
Optionally, you may take a photograph from your vantage point
and post it with your log. We will showcase the closest match we've
received to date in the cache description next to the original.
