Geocache Description:

This cache is found within the vicinity of a historic church, in the middle of a well known wine growing region.

If approaching from Christchurch, drive north on State Highway 1 past Waipara village and then keep your eyes open for said church on your left. Turn left up Church Road for drive in access.

The cache is a 400ml snap lock container. its initial contents:- 2 stampers, laces, beads, tape measure, Canadian pin, Edmonton badge, pencil, log book and sharpener plus Bentley Beagle TB.

This cache is named Festival Church as every year it is the venue for the local wine and food festival. I understand some of the profits from this event goes toward the upkeep of this impressive landmark.

Hopefully the cache is hidden well enough to evade the eye of 1000s of wine lovers - time will tell!! Please help with this by hiding it carefully after your visit.

Built of brick, the church contains a carillon, pipe-organ and stained glass windows. For more information about its historical significance see our nearby cache GLENMARK,CANTERBURY.
