Attention!!
Everyone Mark Their
Calenders for
MAY
13th, 2006 for
Mission
Impossible!! If You Think You
Can Handle It |
|
|
We have searched high and low to recruit only the
best Top Secret Agents, and what better agents than geocachers.
Those that use multi billion dollar military satellites to find
tupperware in the woods. Some will come for fun, laughs, and a good
time, while others will come to be the top few elite agents!!
Either way, Good Luck to all...you will need it!
To receive your TOP SECRET
assignment, we are meeting in a secure location in Sheffield
Village, OH at French Creek Nature Center. The coordinates
listed above are for the starting
location.

How Far Are You Willing To Go?
|
|
|
Starting Instructions:
1. Registration at French Creek Nature Center (rt.611 in
Sheffield Village) will begin at 10:00am and end
PROMPTLY at 11:15am.
2. Mission Briefing will start no later than 11:30am.
3. Since this mission is Ultra Top
Secret all necessary information regarding your mission
will be disclosed and distributed during the briefing session.
DO NOT come late to the briefing session as you will be at a
huge disadvantage to the other agents!
*** If you plan on coming to the event but CANNOT make it until
after the briefing session, PLEASE contact geomissionimpossible@yahoo.com at least 2 days prior
to the event for more information, as the starting location is NOT
the ending location!!! You will need to know where to go to get
materials for the mission and where dinner and night caching are
going to be. We WILL be out of the starting location by 12:45pm, as
the nature center is only booked until 1pm!!!!***
4. Last but not least, make sure no other spys are following you
to the event. We would not want an information leaking out.

Developing A
Team:
1. We highly recommend that there are two or more
agents to a team. As an agent would never want to venture out
without a partner. You can have as many people on a team as you
like as long as you can all fit in ONE vehicle!! Remember
you will want to be comfortable in the car as it is going to be 5+
hours jumping in and out and driving around.
**EACH TEAM IS ALLOWED ONLY ONE VEHICLE**
Failure to follow this will result in IMMEDIATE
disqualification!!
2. You can complete the mission with 2 people, but 3
or more are recommended. We recommend that you have a driver, a
navigator, a person to type in coordinates, a person that is good
with decoding, and a person that is agile and athletic. It is
possible to have one person do several things. As long as it is not
the driver .
3. After you find your team, develop an original team name. Similar
names are fine but NO duplicates please. A link will be available
to view team names and agents when more people log they are
coming.
4. If you need to find team members please post below that you are
looking for members. If you have extra spots on your team for other
members please post this info also.
5. If you cannot find a team PLEASE still come to the event
and at the time of registration we will pair you up with some other
great agents that are in the need for more people.
6. New cachers are also encouraged to come to this event. It will
be a great time and a great way to get to know and meet other
fellow cachers.
7. Again do not forget to log below if you are attending and
how many agents and spy kids (children under12) will be attending
with you, so we can plan for prizes and food
accordingly.
Team Work is a Must to Succeed!

participate in the mission, we can always use help setting up
the final location while the mission is going on, or she can
sit at one of the game stages. Let us know in advance for the
stages!! We can use the help, but prefer it from
non-geocachers.
6. The mission portion of the event will start right after the

6:00pm. Dinner will follow thereafter.
7. Prizes and awards will be announced around 7:00pm as
scores must be calculated.

caches.
11. The event will end around 10:00pm as we have to be out
of the final location by 11:30pm.
12. You do not have to come to the whole event. You can come for
all of it or part of it. We would rather have you come for a bit
than not come at all!!

What To Expect At The
Event
You will have to drive to several different
locations within a 6 mile radius of the starting location... and in
the end you will decide your mission!! There will be stunts for you
to perform, bonus caches you will have to decide if you have time
to get, multi caches where you have to decide if you want to take
the easy, medium, or hard difficulty/terrain. It will all be up to
you. You must leave the briefing in one vehicle with your team. You
must arrive to each location and leave each location with ALL team
members. You will also have to find out the ending location for the
event as part of your mission(with help if needed). The person
first back may or may not be the winner...but could be the last. As
long it is by 6pm. It is all about how many points your teams
accumulates and if your team completes the Mission.
