A series for those who seek a little
challenge before leaving home. The coordinate given is not for the
cache but for the trail head. Please note you can no longer enter
this area with a car and you'll need to find nearby street parking.
To get the cache you must solve the Sudoku and take your
coordinates from the squares with letters. The cache contains a
variety of teasers, brain twisters and puzzle books suitable for
all ages in addition to the log book and pencil. They are winter
and family friendly.
There will be three caches: one for
beginners, one for intermediates and one for the advanced. If you
log all three, you will receive a certificate by e-mail attesting
to your prowess.
No calculations are required to solve a
Sudoku; it’s pure logic. Every row, every column, and each of the
nine 3x3 squares must contain all of the numbers from 1 through 9.
There is a unique solution to each puzzle. Those who exploit
computers to solve them will have to live with their guilt and
shame.
PP#2 is the intermediate
one.
Actual location of cache is N44 AB.0CD,
W063 EF.GHI. (If you've solved it correctly the sum of A+B+C+D is
17 and the sum of E+F+G+H+I is 22). It’s an easy, safe walk from
the former parking lot (now closed to vehicles).
