I have brought you to this nice park for a couple of reasons. First....Let us never forget the ultimate sacrifice that those seven astronauts made when the Shuttle Challenger exploded on that very, very sad day, January 28, 1986. Second....Let's have some fun chasing a geocache in a very nice park setting. So bring a ball with you and have some fun with the kids at the same time.
This is a three part cache. First....go to the following coordinates (N38 39.428 and W121 00.383) and count how many children were in Mrs. Linda's 1997-98 2nd grade class.
Second....Go to the following coordinates (N38 39.392 and W121 00.362) and read the year that the plaque was placed.
In honor of the two nearby schools....perform the following mathematics.
xxx equals 380 plus the number of children in Mrs. Linda's 2nd grade class.
yyy equals 2233 minus the year on the plaque.
The cache container that you are looking for is at N38 39.xxx and W121 00.yyy
Now this park can be "Muggle City", with the middle school across the street and the integral soccer field, playground and skateboard park, so be sure to switch on your "Uber Stealth Mode".
The cache container is a bit on the smallish side (you'll see why). I placed some astronaut and american flag stickers in it, but feel free to trade other small items, if you desire.
By the way....park hours are dawn to dusk.
