This is another cache located on the former Yeakel Ranch at Trout Creek and now currently owned by the Idaho Department of Fish & Game.
After finding the nearby Humbird Stump Cache, take a hike up the mountain to enjoy nice views of the Pack River estuary, Lake Pend Oreille and the distant Green Monarchs.
To avoid the residence area, veer off to the west (left) slightly to find a road that will take you directly to the bridge crossing Trout Creek. After crossing the small meadow, you may want to take the logging road up to N48*20.316, W116*23.011 which will lessen the grade up the hill. From the junction, follow the faint trail to the cache. Or, you can go straight up the mountain to earn the full terrain rating.
I've seen deer, elk, moose and black bear on various visits to this wildlife rich area.
Turn off Highway 200 at MP 39 and proceed about one mile to the designated parking area on the left.
