Geocache Description:

Located in the Norembegua Park Conservation Park, with trails along the Charles River, fields and wooded paths.

This is a great place for easy walks on trails for all ages. The conservation area has scenic trails through wooded areas and along the Charles River. There is a section well known for letting dogs run off leash. Remnants of 1940's Norembegua Park can still be found as lighting fixtures along the trails and structure foundations.

It's near the intersection of 128 and the Mass Pike, adjacent to the Marriot Hotel. Entrance to the park is either at the edge of the Marriot property along Commonwealth Ave, or at the dead end of Woodbine Street. Parking is readily available on Woodbine Street. There's a large veterinary clinic sign on the corner of Woodbine and Commonwealth Ave. You can also be adventuresome and find the designated opening in the fence along Islington Road at what's known as "River Path" on the Google map. Other caches and Community Boating (where you can rent a kayak or canoe and explore the Charles River) are within walking distance.

This cache is not far from the trail, and is perfect for children and adults alike. It's stored in a small ammo box, with loose 3-ring paper for a log.

If you are revisiting this cache, please note that during May of 2011, because of natural erosion, this cache was relocated in the same vicinity. It moved again in June 2016 after vanishing during the prior winter. Also, there is a recently noted letterbox hidden about 25' from it.
