Geocache Description:

This is my favorite spot in Blue Jay Point County Park. Please bring your own pen.

Note: When the lake is high, this cache is accessible only by boat.

Falls Lake Dam was built in 1981 to control flooding of the Neuse River which caused extensive damage to public and private properties including roadways, railroads, industrial sites and farmlands.

Many roads were bisected by the new lake. Mother Nature is slowly retaking that land. This is my new series of caches that will be placed where these roads drive into the lake.
