Start hike at intersection of Brown Rd. and Pt. Sal Rd. About 1/2 way to Pt. Sal Panorama, (roughly 1 1/2 miles one way), just off the dirt road, elev.1,050 ft, uphill all the way. Can ride mountain bike or walk or small scooter/mini-bike, (most of the people who use scooters/mini-bikes take about 20 minutes to get their bike over/through locked gate at trailhead/road entrance.
I have place this cache in an effort to hopefully get more cachers to visit the Point Sal/Paradise Beach area which has 4 active caches and (1) archived cache. Not very many cachers come to these caches, and yet, this area offers incredible views up and down the coast with the ocean sometimes on 3 sides! In fact, I am the only cacher to have gone to the cache that is at Pt.Sal itself, and the rewarding views exponentially exceed the effort expended! I named this cache after my almost 1 year old granddaughter :) who came this far,(she actually walked part of the way), last month. Except for the cache that is near the parking area, the other caches do require somewhat strenuous physical effort, (I have lost 50 lbs. in the last 11 months hiking and mountain biking this area numerous times, but the killer views, the solitude, and the cool people that you meet out there make the effort well worth it!!!!!
The container is an 8" x 3" Noah's Ark tin and has the following items in it:
mini red Sharpie keychain marker, "ONE" white wristband, an Australian nickel, a $10 Chinese dollar bill, a real 50 cent piece, a Sacagewawa $, a real $5 dollar bill, some Clairol Sun-In, an elephant finger puppet, a mini Leatherman knife,(MICRA), an American Flag Patch, an America United Pin, an un-opened package of colored mini-clothespins, and an un-opened package of mini-sunglasses apliques. There is also a picture sheet of pics that I have taken in this whole area. Use it to get you pumped up about going on to Panorama, Pt. Sal Beach and ultimately Pt. Sal with the accompanying PARADISE BEACH...the name says it all! Please leave the picture sheet as you can find all of the pics posted to the cache websites. If you really want it you can take it, just let me know so I can put another one in.
