This cache is in a little known reserve, just outside Christchurch.
This cache is hidden in a small Christchurch City Council reserve adjacent to Knights Stream. The 'stream' occupies one of the former floodplain channels of the Waimakariri River and is generally dry by the reserve.
The given coordinates will not take you directly to the cache, but instead should locate you at a 45 km/hr road speed sign that faces north. Follow a magnetic bearing of 325 degrees from this sign for a distance of 54m (+/- 1m)
to find the cache hidden at the base of a tree at the centre of the reserve.
The cache is a gold painted snap-lock container.
When hidden it contained:
- a logbook
- a pencil and sharpener
- a set of postage stamps
- a chess set
- a Crusaders football key chain.
