Tahuna Torea Reserve
Something different - a Wildlife Conservation Theme cache
Please try to keep your trade items to this theme if possible.

Approach the reserve down the steep steps from Vista Crescent then take a walk along the pleasant paved pathway onto the gravel path then over a lovely boardwalk toward the sandspit where the oystercatchers(birds) live and play
You could access this one on a mountain bike, but courtesy to the many runners and walkers that use this lovely track should dictate a careful pace, or use Shank's pony yourself.
The cache is in a spot where there are no views or any redeeming features.. the idea is to draw caching friends along this walk and further toward the next cache "box of fluffies" this journey will reward you with many sightings of native birds and animals... please leave your dog at home as he is not allowed into the reserve (people are more of a danger to wildlife but thats my opinion eh)
