This is our first cache hide, and we've located it on one of our favorite hiking trails. The GPS says six/tenths of a mile from the "No Hunting" parking spot; your actual hike will wind you around a little bit more.
Our boys enjoy this hiking trail, and it should be good for all kids that don't mind a bit of a walk. The trail can be muddy in spots, particularly the opening sections. You'll have a decision to make at a fork, but it's a loop so you can't go wrong either way (we find the lower trail to be flatter, more scenic...and maybe a bit longer). As always, be on the lookout for ticks.
Our boys included a FTF reward for the first child geocacher to find this cache.
For the dedicated hiker or trail runner, it's possible to find your way to five other caches without ever returning to the pavement.
