The heraldic animal of the Czech geocaching is the Wall Lizard, Lacerta muralis (Laurenti, 1768) also known as Podarcis muralis, probably as the local equivalent of the gecko depicted on the popular Geko GPS unit.
Contrary to the gecko, which is a nocturnal animal, the Lacertidae are active in the daytime (although there is also one Lacerta (first described by Hevelius, 1690) which you can see only at night).
At the starting coordinates you will find statues of lizards and other animals. Count them and then compute the final longitude:
E 14° 24' + (number of turtles) * 0.1' + (number of snakes) * 0.01' + (number of lizards) * 0.001'
(Count only the animals on the sculpture, not the ones on the benches.)
Check sum:
number of shells + number of fishes + number of frogs + number of turtles + number of snakes + number of lizards = 10
But beware, you will not find there any clue what numbers to substitute for alpha and beta into the formula for the final latitude:
N 50° 4' + (alpha + beta) * 0.1' + (alpha - beta) * 0.01' + (alpha - 1) * 0.001'
so you should solve this riddle beforehand.
Alpha = 1 and beta = 2 is not the correct solution - this cache is not about the alphabet but about the lizards.
If you already guessed what is here designated as alpha and beta, but your source does not present their numeric designations, notice that the numbering goes from west to east, so you can determine the numbers for alpha and beta from the gaps in the sequence. (From this should be clear that to try to use sizes or other physical quantities does not make sense.) For the case that your source is not enough detailed, I will reveal that alpha is an odd number.
Furthermore, there is a well known and reliable on-line source, which contains a table with all numbers. (But now it is not so obviously noticeable as before and you need to do one extra click to see the list.)

Or you can try GeoCheck GeoCheck, but because you do not know the final longitude yet, use here the longitude of the starting point, E 14° 24.123'. Nevertheless do not hesitate to contact me if the result will be negative.
At the final coordinates you can find only a micro cache (a cylinder with a diameter of 2 in and a length of 3½ in), because the place is less safe than I originally expected.

Na rozdíl od gekona, který je nočním zvířetem, jsou Lacertidae aktivní ve dne (ačkoli je také jedna Lacerta (poprvé ji popsal Hevelius, 1690) kterou můžete uvidět jen v noci).
Na výchozích souřadnicích najdete sochy ještěrek a jiných zvířat. Spočítejte je a pak vypočtěte cílovou zeměpisnou délku:
E 14° 24' + (počet želv) * 0.1' + (počet hadů) * 0.01' + (počet ještěrek) * 0.001'
(Počítejte pouze zvířata na sousoší, nikoliv ta, která jsou opodál na lavičkách.)
Kontrolní součet:
počet lastur + počet ryb + počet žab + počet želv + počet hadů + počet ještěrek = 10
Ale pozor, nenajdete tam žádnou stopu jaká čísla dosadit za alfa a beta do vzorce pro cílovou zeměpisnou šířku:
N 50° 4' + (alfa + beta) * 0.1' + (alfa - beta) * 0.01' + (alfa - 1) * 0.001'
takže tuhle hádanku byste měli vyřešit předem.
Alfa = 1 a beta = 2 není správné řešení - tahle keš není o abecedě, ale o ještěrkách.
Pokud jste už uhodli, co je zde označeno jako alfa a beta, ale váš zdroj neuvádí jejich číselné označení, povšimněte si, že číslování probíhá ze západu na východ, takže čísla pro alfu a betu můžete určit z mezer v řadě. (Z toho plyne, že pokoušet se dosazovat velikost nebo jiné fyzikální veličiny nedává smysl.) Pro případ, že nemáte dost podrobný zdroj, prozradím vám, že alfa je liché číslo.
Navíc existuje dobře známý a spolehlivý on-line zdroj, který obsahuje tabulku se všemi čísly.
A pokud si chcete ověřit, zda je vypočtená zeměpisná šířka správná, kontaktujte mne přes profil. Nebo můžete zkusit GeoCheck GeoCheck, ale protože dosud neznáte zeměpisnou délku, použijte zde zeměpisnou délku výchozího bodu, tedy E 14° 24.123'. Nicméně mě neváhejte kontaktovat, pokud bude výsledek negativní.
Ale nezapomeňte, že souřadnice ověřené pomocí Evince nebo GeoCheck ještě nejsou úplnými souřadnicemi finálky ani nějaké mezistage, ale jen pomůckou pro ověření zeměpisné šířky, zatímco zeměpisnou délku je třeba spočítat ve výchozím bodě!
Na cílových souřadnicích můžete najít pouze mikroschránku (válec o průměru 5 cm a délce 8¾ cm), protože úkryt se ukázal být méně bezpečný, než jsem původně předpokládal.
