This cache is on the Sunset Rock property owned by the Stowe Land Trust. This area was
cleared as a sheep pasture in the 1800s, reverted back to forest,
and was purchased by the Stowe Land Trust in 1999. It includes a
small network of walking trails on a hillside which makes a
picturesque backdrop for Stowe Village. Near the top of the hill, a
panoramic view of Mt. Mansfield has been cleared.
The easiest access is a small parking lot just off of Taber Hill
Road, park just outside the gate at N 44° 27.837 W 072° 40.618.
Alternatively, you can park along the street in Stowe Village and
take a trail going from the end of Sunset Street and uphill past
the actual "Sunset Rock". Please do not park on Sunset
Street, as it is private residential parking, and you will probably
be ticketed.

which you will pass on Route 100 in Waterbury Center.
