Bear Lake Hiking Trail. Heed the trailhead sign regarding wet conditions. There's a board walk that is not in the greatest condition. Cache is about 1/3 up the trail to Bear Lake. NOT recommended at night.

IN 1942, there was a camp situated here and a favorite activity was hiking to Bear Lake to fish. This lake has been stocked with rainbow trout so you might want to combine caching with fishing? It is a 3 km. hike to the lake.
GPS may jump around a bit under tree cover later on.
Cache contents: Logbook, pencil, FTF is $5 Perkins gift certificate (Regent, McPhillips or Portage West)
Fish hooks, Go Fish cards, carbiner, mini scrapbook kit, little truck, mini cards, etc. Look in all the pockets!
Please let us know whether the rating is accurate as this is only our second hide!

Still wet and muddy, but at least we didn't encounter any leeches!

The trail was really wet and muddy, so I took off the sandals and walked barefoot. After finding the cache decided to wash the muck off in the creek near the start. Bad idea! Feet were covered in leeches! LOL spent the next 5 minutes picking them off! Thanks for the cache!

Some not so easily avoidable swampy trail sections made progress very slow at time.
