Geocache Description:

Cache is above Margeret Falls, beside Herald's Park on Shuswap Lake. Some strenuous uphill walking at the beginning, but levels out after that. Steep cliffs in the area, so be carefull if you have dogs or children. Do not attempt taking a direct path to the cache, read long description!

Park in the parking lot for Margeret Falls 50 47.332N 119 12.373W. Do not follow the main trail towards the outhouses, but head up the steep hill towards 50 47.328N 119 12.441W until you find the dirt road. Follow that until you reach the bridge ( just keep going, you'll find it ) and cross the river. After that, proceed to the cache.

If you keep to the main trails, it is fairly safe, but steep cliffs surround the canyon. Keep dogs and kids on a leash.

Cache is in a large tupperware container, should be easy to find once you are in the right spot. Do not disturb the area tearing things up. It will be obvious, but you'll need to be right on top of it. Remember, it is large - maybe 16 inches long!

If you are really adventurous, you can enter the canyon from the area where the cache is. There is a series of waterfalls and pools that you can follow, climbing the falls and following them. It is intimidating for first timers, and I wouldn't reccomend for anyone under 12 - 14 years of age. Water is cold, so later in the summer is best. Wear rubber water shoes for good grip
