Geocache Description:

This geocache is located half way up the final incline in the Verdugo hills. It's a bit of a hike to get there so you should be prepared for a challenge! Recommended parking elevation at Brand park is 700 ft, the geocache is located at 2145 ft up the trail. Park at the Brand Library (Exit off the 5 on Western, go east to the mountains)

I recommend that you park at Brand park. Make sure you bring comfortable hiking shoes/boots, plenty of water and perhaps a snack or two to munch along the trail. The final part of this hike is referred to as butt kick hill for very good reasons! :)
When you park you'll see a statue of a lady on a green cross. That is where the trail starts. The trail is pretty clear, follow it up into the mountains. As you go you'll see the views are absolutely spectacular.
The geocache consists of a large glass jar containing a disposible camera as well as a log. Finders are encouraged to take a picture of themselves/their party and sign their name. When the camera is used up I will develop the pictures and post the pictures on my website. If you like, you can leave your email address as well as to be notified of when the pictures are posted.
I hike this mountain very regularly (twice a week at least) and will be checking this geocache often.
The geocache is located about 10 feet off the main trail along a mini trail. The mini trail head is at N34 11.194N and 118 15.540W.
I wish you all luck and hope you all enjoy the hike.
