SCUBA gear will be required to locate this cache. This dive should not be attempted alone so please plan ahead and dive smart. There are several dangers in the water including steel rebar, stumps, sharp objects, fishing line, and boat traffic. Only experienced divers should attempt this dive.
You will be looking for a large metal tube that includes several dive related items (ankle weights, dive light/strobe, mask strap) inside along with a logbook. You will need to bring the tube to the shore so you can open it up and retrieve the logbook (bring a hammer). The tube is filled with water so be careful when opening up the logbook (double zip lock bag). You will need to fill the tube with water to get it to sink again. Please place the cache the way you found it.
Some notes about the dive/area:
1. Depth – as deep as 15 feet in the spring.
2. The dam is located between upper Oconomowoc Lake and Lower Okauchee Lake.
3. Please try to trade something dive related.
