Geocache Description:

Many years ago, in 1851, there was a Spanish prospector who came to the Foresthill Divide to try his luck in the gold fields. He was quite successful for a time, making enough money to send back home to his family.

One day upon returning to town with his gold, he heard rumor that the brokers in Iowa Hill were paying much more for gold than the brokers in Foresthill. He had lunch and a beer at the saloon, then hopped on his horse and headed out to Iowa Hill. He never made it. The next day his body was found beside the road, a bloody wound on the side of his head. His horse was grazing a short distance away.

When the supply wagon came upon his body, they surmised that something spooked his horse, throwing him to the ground, where he hit his head and died. They buried him in that very spot.

His bag of gold was never found. Maybe you can find it.
