Hit the Road Jack - Again (KR1B) Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

Krypton: As there's been no response to my previous note, I assume that the cache is not going to be repaired or replaced, so I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us, and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it

Thanks for your cooperation!

Geocache Description:

The cache is a lightly camoflaged ammo can just off a well maintained trail in Bel Gatos/Heintz park. There is some hiking involved with the amount and elevation gain dependent upon where you access the trail system.

The first location for this cache caused some problems for the initial seekers probably due to tree cover so we've relocated it in a new area with a clear view of the sky.

The real kids of KennyHannahJacobKatie love this park and probably hike in its hills or play in the play structures at least 50 times a year. We hid this cache near the junction of two of our favorite trails. Either trail will give you a good workout and take you to some good viewpoints. So .... Hit the Road, Jack!

Each of the caches in this series will be named after one of our favorite Classic Rock songs. It's funny how it works when parents introduce their kids to the songs of their youth. Some songs the kids love and others just don't take. Guessing which songs will stick is an inexact science and frankly baffles me. So ... my kids don't necessarily appreciate Van Morrison or Creedence Clearwater Revival but love Ray Charles who was actually more from my parents period. Great music though and somehow caching appropriate.

You should NOT have to go far from the path nor hunt in any bushes. There was no poison oak where we hid it but there is plenty in the park - so keep your eyes open. We hope you enjoy the first cache in the Kids Rock series.

The closest trail access is at "Secret Trailhead #8 - Upper Belgatos". The more normal locations (bottom of the hill) are at "Vista Trailhead" (GCM3MD) or "Belgatos Parking" (GCVZYN).

Oh ... forgot to mention - there's a second GBA "Faultline" Geocoin included as a FTF prize.
