Geocache Description:

The Swedish king ran a ship building yard here in 1673 - 1704. The location is now high up on land, because the ground rises from the sea with about one centimeters per year in the Province of Ostrobothnia.

The first ship for the Swedish Crown was built here in 1673. It was called "Cronelund". A total of 70 ships had been constructed by the time the docks were closed and abandoned in 1704.

The place was then quickly overgrown by forest. Today the location is slowly being resurrected as a tourist attraction.

Beware of snakes, mosquitos and ghosts of old seafarers.

It is possible to get within about 100 meters of this treasure by car if the forest roads are not too muddy.
