coordinates listed above are for parking! Please search for this
cache only during daylight hours and stay away from both the road
and private property as WP one will not be located
there.-
If you park anywhere but the above coordinates your
car will be towed. In fact do not park more than 25 feet from the
published coords. This is very important! If you are not sure that
your GPS is accurate within 25 feet, please have it professionally
calibrated prior to your arrival.
Placing this cache took me nearly a full weekend of
kayaking, backpacking, diving and climbing (not to mention the
money spent on local officials and a large game permit). For those
of you looking for an easy find, do not attempt this cache! In fact
if you have any health conditions at all, DO NOT ATTEMPT THIS
CACHE!
Depending on the route you choose you may need both
SCUBA and climbing gear (and the training to use it) or heavy
camouflage and a complete schematic of certain yet to be named
facilities (building schematics are included at the second WP).
Additionally, it is important that you wear old, neutral colored
clothes. DO NOT wear makeup, perfume, or other scented products
near the waypoints or the final, as wearing bright colors or being
heavily scented may attract local (and potentially dangerous)
wildlife.
When getting started from the parking area the
location of the first WP will be very obvious. Use caution not to
walk on the stairs which lead down to the river. If however, you
are left with no other choice be sure not to go to the final two
stairs nearest the river as doing so will definitely make this
cache much more difficult to find.
Also after reaching and reading the instructions
set forth at the sixth waypoint you may wish to convert some of
your funds into Euros (depending on how you wish to proceed to the
seventh WP). This currency conversion can be done locally (see
information in the container at the sixth WP).
Once arriving at the final you must follow the
directions in the cache precisely in order to safely get out of the
cache area however If you have done forward recon you may be able
to find your way back on your own.
One final note, this cache has been rated as a 3.5
/ 3 due to the possibility of using a secondary route which will
negate the need for some of the specialized gear (details in the
7th WP container), however if you choose to do it the 'hard" way
the find could be as difficult as a 3.5 / 5. Please do not attempt
this cache alone; in fact you may wish to have your affairs in
order prior to your visit.
