Come out and help celebrate Wayne's achieving his 5,000th find!
The main festivities will be on Saturday, the 24th of June.
If you wish to come out and camp out on Friday and Saturday
evening, feel free to do so.
BBQ will be provided by Candy and Doc Geo but we will need side
dishes (if you can bring anything,
add a Note log as to what you plan to bring).
Lots of tree coverage, but if you have a pop-up canopy, please
bring it.
Please bring some form of seating also.
The site:
10 acres of heavily forested, mostly flat, land with some paths and
clearings scattered throughout.
Plenty of parking.
Lots of Cedar, Oaks, some Devil vines and Mesquite.
Fire ants? Yes. Spiderwebs? Yes. Scorpions? Of course. Copperheads?
You betcha!
It's in the country... This ain't no "walk in a park"...
PLEASE BE A CAREFUL CAMPER/GEOCACHER!
But we do have plenty of quiet, tons of stars, squirrels, song
birds, cottontails and
when we have an excuse for a winter event, coyotes singing you to
sleep...
The property is not fenced in on all sides.
Please look for the day-glo tape on trees to mark the boundaries of
the property.
One Port-a-Potty will be available and our house has more if ya
really need them...
If you need to store cold food you're bringing, we have two
refrigerators.
RSVP and let me know if you're bringing food... right now, anything
you can think of will be appreciated.
Napkins/Paper Towels, Plasticware, Paper plates, Plastic cups,
etc...
Events:
Horse shoes, Frisbees, etc. (bring what you can)
Bring your swim suit just in case (always good adviceno matter
where you go... :-)
A bonfire and fireworks are planned unless we are under a burn ban.
If there is a burn ban, it will be strictly enforced... Violators
will be asked to leave... 'nuf said...
Temporary caches and a new, permanent night cache...
