Max Cacher: Greetings from Geocaching.com

We take all Should Be Archive notes very seriously

It looks like your cache has been under the weather for some time. While we feel that Geocaching.com should hold the location for you and block other cachers from entering the area around this cache for a reasonable amount of time, we can't do so forever. So that someone else can place a cache in the area, and geocachers can once again enjoy visiting this location. Also, if you haven’t done so already, please pick up any remaining cache bits as soon as possible.
If you are in the process of replacing or repairing your cache please e-mail me in response to this archival, and I will unarchive your cache.
I want to thank you for the time that you have taken to contribute to geocaching in the past and am looking forward to seeing your cache up and running in the future.

Geocache Description:

These coordinates will get you to a starting point. To find the cache, you will need the information located in "Secret City- The Secrets Out" GCWJMM.

This cache shouldn’t be difficult to find. It is located within Bissel Park not far from Oak Ridge Associated Universities (ORAU). The cache is very close to a “symbol of the bonds of friendship and mutual regard” between the US and Japan.

Bissel Park is one of many recreational resources the City of Oak Ridge has to offer. It is located near the Civic Center that houses the Oak Ridge Public Library, a swimming pool, meeting rooms, and a gymnasium. Bissel Park also boasts a nice walking track.

ORAU was founded as Oak Ridge Institute of Nuclear Studies in 1946 as a means of linking “the valuable scientific resources developed in Oak Ridge as part of the Manhattan Project with regional universities.” ORAU currently has close to 100 member institutions and continues to serve as a leader in research, education, and training in the areas of science and technology, national security, environmental safety and health, and environmental management.

The original contents of this traditional cache include several Oak Ridge-themed items, a log book, and a pen. Please replace the cache exactly as you found it.
