Z historie Zamecku:
Jednou z historicky nejvyznamnejsich staveb Pribrami je Zamecek

tycici se nekolik desitek metru od namesti T. G. Masaryka.
Prestavba drevene tvrze v kamenný hradek, jadro dnesniho

stoleti. Souvisi s cinorodými aktivitami snad nejslavnejsiho
majitele panstvi arcibiskupa Arnosta z Pardubic. Arnostuv nastupce
arcibiskup Jan z Jenstejna nechal tvrz koncem 14. století

mestanu namirenych proti vrchnostenské sprave, v dobe
tricetilete valky a take mnoha nevhodnymi stavebnimi upravami. Do
dnesniho dne se proto dochoval pouze na vychodni strane goticky
arkyr, kaple s zebrovou klenbou a jeste nekolik dalsich prvku.
Zcela mimorádný vyznam v modernich dejinách

Short history of Ernestinum:
One of the most important historical buildings in Pribram is Little
Castle - Ernestinum, originally wooden fort owned by Church,
standing close to T.G.Masaryk square. During the rule of the
Bohemian king and Holy Roman Emperor Charles IV, Archbishop Arnost
of Pardubice, owner of the church estate, had the old wooden fort
replaced by a small stone castle which later became the core of the
present mansion. Successor of Arnost of Pardubice, archbishop Jan
of Jenstejn had built walls and deep moat around the castle at the
end of 14.century. Following periods were not so nice to Ernestinum
- Hussites revolution (1414-1436), Thirty Years' War (1618-1648)
and impropriate architectonic rebuilding. What remain from the
original Ernestinum is gothic bay window on east side, chapel with
ribbed vault and some other elements.
Between 1849 and 1945 it served as a training school for miners,
then a mining academy and later a College of Mining. Today you'll
find in Ernestinum ceremonial hall,
The Gallery of Frantisek Drtikol,
Museum of the Third Resistance in Pribram and Tourist info
center.
