Shel Silverstein's story.. Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

Krypton: As there's been no response to my previous note, I assume that the cache is not going to be repaired or replaced, so I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us, and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it

Thanks for your cooperation!

Geocache Description:

You know the story.. about the sidewalk?

I just recently completed another visit to the Palo Alto Baylands and started the loop at Byxbee Park. When I got to the end, I had a choice of backtracking almost 2 miles, or continuing on to pick up one more cache. I decided to grab the one remaining traditional and finish the walk along the road. As I walked and walked, I figured it would be nice to have a couple more caches to make the loop complete. Just then, I got to this spot.

You aren't going to see any breathtaking scenery, any marsh fowl, or planes but it does satisfy another perk, which is it is available 24 hours. Obviously it was placed with the hiking/biking loop in mind, but it can also be done as a quick grab and go. During business hours some stealth might be required. Don't forget a pen!

If you bring the kids, make sure they stay close. Cars go by pretty fast here.
