This cache is hidden in a small roadside picnic area, overlooking Oxford, with spectacular views.
The given co-ordinates will not take you directly to the cache. They will take you to an enclosed 'Oxford Mountain View' information panel located on Harewood Road (near the High Street intersection).
From this panel, follow a magnetic bearing equal to A - 1686 for a distance of 3.62 km as the crow flies, where A = the year that the information panel was installed.
The cache is hidden under a rock on the road side of the picnic table.
For maximum scenic benefit, the cache site is best visited on a clear day.
The cache is a gold painted snaplock container. When placed it contained:
- notebook, pencil and sharpener
- pair of erasers
- 3 pens
- a packet of crayons
- packet of coloured paper clips
- glue stick
- padlock
- Oxford pamphlet
