Geocache Description:

The Monterey Bay Coastal Trail runs between Monterey and Castroville. This cache may be found at the Northern terminus - the Castroville Trailhead.

Monterey County Bike Week is held each Spring

The County of Monterey is very supportive of biking and hiking. In addition to biking events nearly every week, the county sponsors a yearly Bike Week and the bike trail is the gem of the event. The trail offers a rich experience for the hiker and biker. The views are at once both interesting and beautiful. Bring your camera and post your snapshots here.

Easiest access and parking may be found at the end of Haro St. in Castroville. This can be a drive up cache or a bike/hike cache. However, no hiking or biking is necessary.

This area always seems to be in need of CITO. Extra points if you pack out some trash. Thanks
