ChipnDonna: I've got an achy (but not breaky) hip that will severely limit my ability to maintain this cache. So I cleaned it out and I'm archiving the cache. Hopefully someone else will place one near here and along the Los Trancos Trail.

Geocache Description:

Located close to the connecting trail from Palo Alto Foothills Preserve to the Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District's Los Trancos Preserve.

This LT Trail "ReDo" cache is located on Los Trancos Trail in Palo Alto Foothills Park.

Taking Los Trancos Trail north from this point will bring you, via Costanoan Trail, into Wildhorse Valley and eventually (see PA Foothills Park map (visit link) to hiking trails in the Enid Pearson Arastradero Preserve. These trails are part of the Bay to Ridge Trail system.

The cache is ~1.5 mi. from the closest official public parking at the MROSD Los Trancos Preserve LT01 trail head located at N 37° 19.989 W 122° 10.558. Just locate and follow the newly aligned Page Mill Trail north until it enters Foothills Park. A Los Trancos Preserve map can be downloaded at (visit link)
but the newly aligned Page Mill trail may not be on the map yet.

Please note: Mountain Bikers and Equestrians are not permitted in either Preserve on these connecting trails.

The cache is a hanging 4x3x2 in decon container less than 10 feet from Los Trancos trail.

This cache was established and then archived for a year until the trail officially opened. I am happy to say the trail is now open for the public! However, there are four entries on the log prior to its being archived that I have added to the new log sheet.
