All aboard for a great day riding the Warburton Rail Trail by bike, stopping all stations from Mt Evelyn to Warburton (about 32 km). Get together with other cachers to make trains of 4-8 riders. Organise your own team or join others on the day. We will start at the above co-ordinates and date, at 9am sharp, at Cog Bike Cafe where a bike can be hired for the day if needed (phone 9736 4999). Morning tea will be provided at Woori Yallock station. BYO lunch at Warburton (BBQ facilities available).
This ride is suitable for reasonably fit, energetic people over the age of 16 years. Each team will need at least 1 GPSr, 1 mobile phone, 1 tool/repair kit & 1 tyre pump. Each rider should bring their bike, helmet, water bottle, and wear suitable clothing for bike riding and variable weather conditions. A support vehicle will be available for any breakdowns or emergencies, and will also be able to transport your lunch supplies to Warburton if needed - but no eskys, lunches should be in soft carry bags. Transport can be arranged to return bikes/riders to the starting point after the event if necessary (numbers will be limited so please email me if you need this).
