I realize that people might be slightly confused over a couple potential details.

1. There is only one way to order these people but several ways to number them. You are looking for the result after the person does what he/she has to do. The known digits should make this clear.

2. If you use the indicated reference, there are a couple of twists at the end. Ignore them. Pretend everything is going where you think it is until the twists. If you use the original reference, there are also a couple of twists at the end, but they are different and should not confuse you.
