Besøg det nærliggende Børglum Kloster og oplev den fantastiske udstilling om klosterets historie. (visit link)

[Eng] Visit the nearby Børglum Kloster, very exiting place. Børglum has always played a major role in Danish history. Here, Danish kings have had their royal estate from since the year 1000, possibly even earlier. In about 1060, an Episcopal residence was established for the land lying to the north of Limfjorden. In about 1102 it is mentioned as being sited in Børglum. The monastery in its present form commenced in about 1220 as a Premonstratensian monastery. It succeeded an even older monastery, which was probably sited nearby. Børglum was an Episcopal residence until the Reformation in 1536, and the church was the diocese's cathedral up until 1554. Of previous monarchs, Margarethe I showed particular concern for the monastery, bestowing on it precious gifts and much property.
