This is an actual physical container with 30 items.
There is a small container at the above coordinates. This is the
Collection Container. Any cacher can find and log it. No item is
required to be left.
Bonus
and optional: Players who would like an item to be
"featured" in the Treasure Cache (read description below) may also
place the item in the collection container.
There will be a logbook, but no trade items in the Collection
Container. Items in the Collection Container will be removed
(by the owners) and relocated to the main Treasure Cache container
periodically. Personal "Signature" items are preferred, but not
required. Postcards, key chains or refrigerator magnets are also
encouraged.
The
Treasure Cache: The actual current contents of the PodCacher
Treasure Cache (PTC) container can be viewed on this
webpage. This webpage is changed to reflect the contents of
this cache. Items will be featured on this webpage for at least 2
weeks.
There are always 30 items and a physical logbook in the Treasure
Cache container. When a new item arrives, the oldest item is bumped
out and archived.
Another
option if you'd like to have your item featured: Send your
item to PodCacher P.O. Box 2288 San Marcos, California 92079-2288.
This may be one way to prevent the item you placed in the
Collection Container from being taken by another player. The item
will need to fit (with other items) in a standard ammo container.
No large items please! We will sign the physical, paper logbook
that is actually in the container once your "find" is official. We
will notify you, via email, of receipt so that you can sign your
online log.
In either case please provide us with the following information so
that we may properly feature and label your item: 1) Name (if any)
of the item, 2) Is this your "signature" item?, 3) Where did you
get this item from? 4) What is the significance (or brief story)
about the item?
Items will not be returned or exchanged, they will permanently
remain in the PodCacher Personal Treasure Cache archives.
Bonus
bonus: A bound, printed,
picture-book style coffee table art photo archive book will be
made of every 100 items (grouped) that have been featured in this
cache.
