The Col du Canadel (267 m) is the last hill before reaching the
small town of Canadel. From the col you have a beautiful view over
the Canadel bay and beyond.
When going down from the col to Canadel, you reach the small but
nice beach of Rayol-Canadel that is much more quiet and relaxed
than the beaches of Cavalair.
For the runners: try a run uphill from Canadel or from camp-hotel
Panachaïd (the other side). It takes about 25-30 minutes and gives
a good training of the upper legs.
The cache is a marked Tupperware-like box with a green lid wrapped
in a grey garbage sack. It is hidden near the top of the col. From
the cache you can't see the road, though it is only 20-25 m from
the road. You have to clatter over some rocks.
The cache originally contained:
1 pair of sunglasses, 1 can-cap (bouchon canette), 1 shiny stone
taken from the cache of the chateau de Grimaud, 1 rain & wind
cover which runners use before the start (Fortis logo), 1
inflatable beachball.
We wish all geocachers much pleasure finding the cache and enjoying
the surrounding.

Le Col du Canadel est la dernière colline avant d’arriver au
village de Canadel. Du col, vous avez une belle vue sur la baie de
Canadel et au-delà.
La cache est une boîte type-Tuppeware presque au sommet du col,
sous une pierre. De la cache, vous pouvez voir la route car elle en
est éloignée de 20-25m seulement. Il faudra soulever quelques
pierres.
Nous espérons que les geocacheurs apprécieront cette cache et son
environnement.
