Traja zvedavi chlapci poziadali svojho priatela - vodnika Zeleniaka
- aby im ukazal svet pod hladinou Dunaja. Vedel, ze je to zakazane,
ale nakoniec sa nechal prehovorit. Vyslovil magicke slova a vo vode
sa zjavila sucha cesticka.
Videli mnohe zvlastne veci, napriklad tancujuce ryby, az sa dostali
k jaskyni s Dunajskym pokladom, strazenej ciernym zubacom s
halapartnou. Ten ich vyhnal z vody a povedal vodnikovi, ze sa bude
zodpovedat pred Dunajskym sudnym dvorom.
Najstarsi z chlapcov zacul magicke slova, no nevedel si na ne
spomenut. Ked to zistila stara ropucha, vyslovila kliatbu - kazdy,
kto tie slova povie, alebo zacuje, skamenie.
Chlapci viac svojho priatela vodnika nevideli a mali onho strach.
Neboli vsak schopni vratit sa do vod Dunaja. Jedneho vecera, ked
chytali kacice aby sa vratili domov, si najstarsi chlapec na slova
spomenul a vyslovil ich. Vsetko naokolo skamenelo, okrem dunajskej
vody, pretoze ta ich davno pozna.

Three curious boys asked their friend - waterman Zeleniak (zeleny
means green) - to show them world in waters of Danube. He knew it
isn't permited but finaly he agreed. He said magical words and path
in the water opened.
They saw many strange things like dancing fishes and then they came
to cave with Danube treasure guarded by black zander with halberd.
He banished them from river and told waterman that he will be
liable to Danube council.
Oldest of boys had heard magical words but wasn't able to remember
them. Old frog noticed it and said curse - everyone who'll say or
hear that words will turn to stone.
Boys nevermore saw their friend waterman and were woried about him.
They wanted to help him but they wasn't able to get back into
Danube waters. One evening, they just catched ducks to return home
oldest boy remembered that words and said them. Everything near
turned to stone except Danube water because it already knew them.
