Easy to get to... if you are a fish. Located just off an island near Sioux Narrows Provincial Park.

Just of an island near Sioux Narrows Provincial park, this cache may take a bit more effort. You need to get to the island first (via a boat or swimming if you are staying at the park), then you need to find the cache - snorkel gear or goggles are required.

Located in easy swimming depth (~8ft) just of the shore, the coordinates will put you on the island, from there you need to start swimming. The cache is located to the about 10m off the south end, bearing SSE of the island, check out the hints for an easy way to zero in.

Please be careful with this cache. The container is watertight, but if you open it in the water... well you get the idea. Please also be careful the container is well sealed when returning (instructions are in the cache). The container is yellow to make it easier to find. It is fastened to a metal eye in a rock with a yellow and purple plastic hooks (see the pictures). Leave the yellow hook on the metal hook so you can find the place again!

Last of seven caches found for the day. Water was a bit choppy but no problem. Two canoes of muggles set out just ahead of us and stopped on the island. Oh dread! The wait wasn't long. Oh joy! Cache was quickly found. A dribble of water inside but log was dry. Was going to put the video "Jaws" inside but it wouldn't fit. So sad. It was warm enough to snorkel around the island in search of more hidden treasure. Found a rod and reel! We haven't been snorkeling all summer so this was a great incentive. Heard thunder while loading the truck. Great end to an excellent weekend.

Our first underwater cache . We had Spencer, Daniel, and Pacey from the troop here today. Spencer took the liberty of brining up the cache and replacing it again. We were a little frustrated by the lack of tradeables in the cache. People have been trading pine cones and bark for items. It was a fun excursion from our family camp at Rushing River Park.

We found it. AWESOME!!! This was our first underwater find. It was really cool to locate. We took the opportunity to travel down to Sioux Narrows Provincial Park from Rushing River Provincial Park while staying there with the family for 5 days.

It was a little disheartening to see that many people have found the cache, but none have posted any finds online since 2008 with so many finding it. It may be beneficial to include a larger font note to urge them to log their finds online. Also, the swag is very limited. There are pine cones and bark and water proof matches that don't work and a fishing hook. It seems like people have found the cache and just found something on the island to trade.

Fitting that this was our 100th find. Pretty tough to get back on the yellow hook.
Lotta of fun. Thanks.
