North Downs Way micro trail: part 1 Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

tjapukai: Time to put this one to bed. Of all my 190 caches over the years this one had the most trouble with the film can falling off the wall and being found on the ground. It was hidden behind a brick/stone, wired into position etc etc and still it fell on the ground. No idea why. After I stopped putting it back it probably got worse as finders guessed where to put it back.

Geocache Description:

This is the first of a short series of micro caches along a section of the North Downs Way near Dorking. The route follows the periphery of the largest vineyard in England.

None of these caches is hidden in a tree, or other vegetation; nor are they hidden under logs, stumps or roots. They are also the first caches I have hidden which don't involve some kind of puzzle! Bring your own pen to sign log.

This cache involves some simple climbing (a few feet off the ground) hence terrain rating. Please take care when it is slippery. And please extract and replace the cache exactly. There is no writing implement in the cache so please take your own.

When crossing the A24 from the car park to the start of the trail take great care as it is very busy road.

By noting the feature in/on which this cache is hidden you will be able to complete the final (4th) cache in the series (North Downs Way micro trail: End).
