Welcome to the Proven Mount
Cache!
If you do not recognize the name - it is what this area was once
called back in the 1830's. Today's name is only slightly different
than what used to be back then. In visiting the cache give thought
to what it must have been like more than 150 years ago!
This cache is on private property. The property owners have granted
the public the rights to cross the property on the M-M (Metacomet
Monadnock) trail which is what you should use to access the cache.
Upgraded
This cache was upgraded on 21 Aug 2006. At the cache
coordinates you will find the coordinates to a nearby single wide
locked ammo cache container where you can trade items, etc.
NOTE:
The final cache container has been stolen. Until we have time to
replace this - to log the cache please email us the coordinates
that you find for stage 2.
Something Different
This cache is something different - maybe a type of cache you
have not seen before?! The cache is out in the open and you
will likely be watched whilst looking for the cache. The cache is
accessible at any time of year - even with snow cover. You don't
have to stick your hands into or under anything to find this
cache. Bring your thinking cap - you'll need it.
Benchmarks
There are also a number of benchmarks nearby. For MZ1774 be sure
you find the actual benchmark and NOT just one of the reference
discs! There are also a number of other caches nearby as well (if
you have not already logged those).
Logs
In your log please do not post any comments regarding the cache,
its location, etc. - even encrypted. Offending logs will be
removed.
