How Geocaching Works
This easy multi-cache can be found in beautiful Williams Bay, Wisconsin. You will enjoy a very scenic walk from waypoint #1 through a nature preserve to waypoint #2. Terrain is basically level, with no major bushwacking required if you stay on the trail. If you are in a hurry, a short drive will take you to parking within .1 mile of the cache.
This cache was placed in celebration of the birth of my first grandchild. The first waypoint will bring you to one of the most photographed and painted spots in Williams Bay. Here you will find the coordinates for the final cache. I recommend the beautiful .77 hike to the cache, then on the way back you can find several other nice geocaches in this nature preserve. However, you can take the 'church' road and park very near the cache. Please replace the cache carefully as found. Thanks!
MAY 2009: Cache was burned up by a controlled fire in the area. The stump no longer provides sufficient cover either, so the new container was moved.
The cache is a (fire-proof, I hope!) regular sized ammo can.
CONGRATULATIONS to CAPTAIN AND MATE for FTF!
